Early Morning Start
The day begins before sunrise, as most summer workdays do in the roofing industry. By 6:30 AM, I’m already checking our equipment and loading up the truck with materials for today’s roof installation in Torrington. Safety equipment? Check. Shingles? Check. Tools and fasteners? All set.
First Stop: Job Site Assessment
7:00 AM finds us arriving at the client’s home. The morning air is crisp, and the first order of business is setting up safety barriers and protective coverings for the client’s landscaping. Working in Connecticut means dealing with varying weather conditions, so we always start by double-checking the forecast.
The Main Work Begins
By 8:00 AM, we’re fully engaged in the day’s project. Whether we’re:
– Removing old shingles
– Inspecting decking
– Installing new underlayment
– Applying premium roofing materials
Each step requires precision and attention to detail. The homes in Litchfield County deserve nothing less than excellence.
Midday Progress
Lunch break is quick, usually around noon. We use this time to hydrate and check our progress. Working in areas like Harwinton and Winchester Center means we often get to enjoy beautiful countryside views from our elevated workspace.
Afternoon Push
The afternoon involves completing the installation and ensuring everything meets our quality standards. We take pride in our clean-up process, using magnetic sweepers to collect any stray nails and ensuring the property looks better than when we arrived.
End of Day
As the sun begins to set, we perform our final inspections and clean-up. Before heading home, we prepare for tomorrow’s job, whether it’s in Winsted, New Hartford, or anywhere else in our service area.
Every day brings different challenges and rewards, but our commitment to quality craftsmanship never wavers. It’s satisfying knowing we’re helping protect homes and families throughout Litchfield County with reliable roofing solutions.
